White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad and Klondike Highway Combo
If you are traveling with a group, customize your day by adding the train to either our White Pass Summit & City Tour OR Yukon Discovery Tour.
Your scenic tour begins with a 28 mile (1 ¾ hours) journey between Skagway, Alaska, and Fraser, British Columbia, aboard the narrow gauge Scenic Railway of the World built in 1898. This railway is an International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark (along with the Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty). Experience the breathtaking panorama of mountains, glaciers, gorges, waterfalls, tunnels, trestles, and historic sites as you climb almost 3,000 feet in 20 miles. See the original White Pass Trail of '98 worn into the rocks, a physical testimony to the thousands of souls who passed this way in search of fortune. Fully narrated with stories of Railroad and Klondike Gold Rush history. Vintage passenger cars are heated and have large windows and restrooms.
Upon arrival at the train depot at Fraser, passengers are transferred to a comfortable tour vehicle for either their return to Skagway down the Klondike Highway (4 hour tour option) OR continue north to the Yukon (7 hour tour option). With stops all along the way there will be many chances for photos and possible wildlife sightings.
This tour can be arranged with either the train or vehicle portion first, depending on scheduling. Vehicle portion will be in either SUV, Van or Mini-Bus depending on your group size. Morning or afternoon departure available — we'll work out the best arrangement for your group. Minimum 4 passengers for these tours.
Please call 1-877-983-2512 or email for pricing and specify which combo you would like — the 4 hour or 7 hour.
