Yukoner!
If time doesn't allow for an all-day journey, try the Yukoner! Just like the Gold Rush Stampede of 1898, the rush is on for this Yukon mini-adventure, conveniently packaged in a shorter version. Parallel the train up the Klondike Highway, past magnificent waterfalls and spectacular scenery, leave behind the coastal rainforest as we cross the summit and the Canadian border into the subarctic alpine tundra of the "Tormented" Valley, a virtual 'moonscape!'
We'll journey past crystal lakes, Log Cabin and the winter Fantail Trail. Stand on the shores of Lakes Tutshi and Tagish encircled by mile-high mountains, pose at the Yukon border, view the historic silver mines. The Yukon is always our best opportunity to encounter wildlife, so we'll be watching for bears, moose, sheep, goats and more!
