The drive up the Klondike Highway parallels much of the Gold Rush Trail of 1898 and includes many stops to view and photograph waterfalls, majestic mountains, historic sites, and the pristine beauty of Alaska. Upon cresting the White Pass Summit (3292 feet), see the sub-arctic alpine tundra of the "Tormented" Valley, with its crystal blue Summit Lake and snow capped peaks. Stops include the Welcome to Alaska sign, Pitchfork Falls, Moore Bridge overlook, Skagway Scenic overlook and the Gold Rush Cemetery (where outlaw Soapy Smith is buried). This tour emphasizes the best of everything that has made Skagway famous.

In this Yukon mini-adventure follow in the path of the Klondike Gold Rush stampeders of 1898 as you travel up the Klondike Highway, past magnificent waterfalls and steep mountains of coastal rainforest. Beyond the White Pass Summit you enter the boreal forest of Canada and see gorgeous lake scenery surrounded by wilderness. The Yukon is always our best opportunity to encounter wildlife, so we'll be watching for bears, moose, sheep, goats and more! Our turnaround point is the Welcome to the Yukon sign where you can get a great photo. We make scenic stops all along the route from Skagway to the Yukon border. Fully narrated with Gold Rush and local history.

A truly once-in-a-lifetime experience, this tour combines the Yukon Discovery Tour with an added bonus: an exciting 2-mile ride on a wheeled dog sled (approx. 20 min.) with real Iditarod teams. You'll feel the thrill of being whisked along the forested trail and hear the exciting musher's stories of winter racing. Enjoy the opportunity to spend some time with the playful husky puppies and pet the sled dogs.

Dyea is a peaceful getaway and a perfect opportunity to feel part of the great Alaskan outdoors. As you float down the gentle Taiya River (approx. 40 min on river), your guide will point out wildlife and tell stories of the area's fascinating history. Between tours you have time for lunch. For the next tour, join our White Pass Summit & City tour for a drive up the Klondike Highway paralleling much of the Gold Rush Trail of 1898.

Great scenery greets us around every turn, including waterfalls, glaciers, icy blue lakes, mile-high mountains and true wilderness. Watch for wildlife as we travel up a rugged mountain road to Jubilee Mountain for panoramic views. This is a private tour with a maximum of 6 passengers per luxury SUV, allowing for plenty of interaction with your experienced guide.

Your combo tour includes 28 mile (1 ¾ hours) journey between Skagway, Alaska, and Fraser, British Columbia, aboard the narrow gauge White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad built in 1898. The other part of the tour is by comfortable tour vehicle along the Klondike Highway to see the White Pass Summit (3.5 hour tour option) or continue north to the Yukon (7.5 hour tour option) with scenic stops for photos all along the way.

Tours will be arranged with either train or vehicle portion first, depending on availability.
